Quote of the day!

I stole this quote off a stylist blog but it was just to great not to post....

YOU CAN HAVE ANYTHING YOU WANT IN LIFE IF YOU DRESS FOR IT!

Since I totally believe that, today I would like to get anything I want wearing this dress from TopShop!

Casual as a Second Language...

(I'm defintley a Lauren not an Audrina)

I like to think of myself as a girl that can pull a great outfit together at the drop of the hat. I actually love when we have specific plans and I know that I get to plan what I will be wearing to that event, by trying on different things, picking that perfect shoe, planning my hair, makeup and nails for that event.

I do believe my inner stylist comes out and it is one of my favorite past times. However, when I know I will be running errands, have a casual lunch, going to a athletic event you might as well bring a magazine because I seriously draw a blank and it can take me hours to figure out what to wear.

I am not a girl that wears flats, which I have discussed before and I swear dressing casually can be the hardest thing for me, especially when it comes to footwear.

My version of casual and my sorority sisters version of casual were completely the opposites in college. They would always be asking me why I was so dressed up and I really didn't think I was. So as I went through a fashion identity crisis in college, I would always try to pull off the looks they would wear just think American Eagle, J Crew, Abercrombie and etc... It was just not a look that I could pull off, and I never understood why because it did look great on all my friends!

( My casual attempt in college)

So now that I've decided to just step out my comfort zone and realize that it doesn't matter that I don't look like everyone else and my fashion flaw is causal dress that I will just have to accept that's it's better to be overdressed, because what's it going to hurt to look the best in the room.

However, every now and then I will find that perfect casual look with my favorite cowboy boots but I also know that I was a student in french class and remember french as a second language every now and again too!!~

Higher the heel....The closer to God!!!

(Isla Fisher from the Movie Confessions of a Shopaholic)

Yes, I am a woman that wears very high heels!!! However, never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would have so many people ask me one very annoying question over and over again, how do you walk in those shoes???

Well the answer is real easy one foot in front of the other just like the rest of the world. So please don't worry that I will either fall and break my neck or I will regret it when I am 80 because I wont and if I do I will surely be glad I strutted in my favorite stilettos shoes.

I will agree with you that some shoes are more difficult than others to walk around in. I mean I definitely have shoes that are just dinner shoes, meaning I can walk into the restaurant and out but that's all the mileage those bad boys will take!!!

However, just because a women is wearing high heels why would someone feel the need to comment? I mean I personally don't understand what flats are supposed to do for you? I also find that if I wear something flat, my feet hurt worse. I think my feet have honestly turned into Barbie feet. Have you ever seen a barbie dolls feet, she is literally standing on her tippy toes, obviously Barbie was a woman meant to wear stilettos!

I will tell you I am a daily 3-4inch shoe wearer and a 5-6 inch weekend shoe wearer! I recently read an article in the Wall Street Journal about how heels are just getting higher thanks to many designers from the low end of Steve Madden to the higher end of Christian Louboutin (My SHOERO!!!) who this fall is coming out with an eight inch shoe yes I said EIGHT INCHES!!! Even though I don' t know if I will brave that height I have to commend Mr. Louboutin for trying to make a five two gal nearly six feet tall!!

(Some of Christian Louboutins shoes for Spring 2009)

So thanks to my shoe addiction and of course my love for that height that makes every outfit look oh so much better, and makes your calf's that much more defined I leave with my favorite saying...

The Higher the Heel....The Closer to GOD!!!

Thad & Louise

As my first entry to Louise-Ti Dah I will give you a little background. My name is Christina with my middle name being Louise. Louise is a name that I hold near and dear to my heart. My late Grandmother was Louise Lewallen, I never had the honor of meeting this astonishing woman but I am proud to carry her name with me everyday. I also plan to be a future business owner of Thad & Louise boutique. Thad & Louise were husband and wife and if you have started to understand are my grandparents that passed on at a early age, I never got the honor of meeting Thad Lewallen but he was a man of energy and enthusiasm and always up to having fun. Whether he was rooting on those Wake Forest Demon Deacons, bowling, or having yummy treats from Dewey's Bakery he was definitely having a good time. Louise was a beautiful poised woman who loved her fashion, love to bowl, was a dancing boot and play cards with her girlfriends. I have come to realize that a part of who I've become today has a lot to do with Thad & Louise!

(Thad and Louise Lewallen on there Wedding Day)

Taking after my grandmother, I am one woman that loves everything fashion! I definitely think God gave me a gift and that's why I want to put it to good use by opening up my own store in the very near future. My mom always said I was destined to be in fashion because by the time I was three years old I had already decided that those panties did not match my dress, that I definitely needed a bracelet, and a handbag, and of course even at age three I was not happy unless my shoes had a heel. So you can imagine I was already becoming a little Lah-Ti-Dah fashion princess at a very young age...well in this case a little Louise-Ti-Dah!
